I did a bike training and a guy cut a tree and drop it 10 foot in front of me. I was driving at arount 22 mil/hr. I use my break and put to much pressure on the front wheel so my front wheel jam and my back wheel come over my head and flip over me. Now I have a left wrist problem and a right showder and rib cage problem. I went to the hospital to make sure nothing was broken and finally everything is fine except my muscle may be. I put a metal rap over my wrist to help me to try to fixe the problem faster. Now I still have problem but I continu my training. Do I have something special I can do. I'm 45 years old. I was supposed to do my first triathlon last week-end but I wasn't able to swim properly so I avoid that competition. Now I ran and I have a problem with my knee and I never have problem before and I have been running for 25 years now so I don't know. I think is to much for my body but I don't want to stop. Do you have a special thing to do?

How much time since the accident? My guess is that your knee problem comes from your rib cage and shoulder injury. If it hurts then chances are your body is not aligned properly when running causing you putting more weight on one foot then the other. The knee then takes the load.

I'd say rest for a couple of weeks or at least do low impact activities like eliptics or aqua gym.

When you'll have recovered then come back slowly to your normal training.

I know it's a set back but health come first.

Prend soins de toi.

Thank you Lucka. It's hard to stop after a lot of training to do race and at the end we can't do it because a stupid guy drop a tree. I know I have to stop. I stop a bit but not enough. Maybe your right about my rib cage and my knee, that's exactly what I was thinking. I will go to see a physio and may be they will be able to help me.

Y a rien là mon homme.

I was only saying out loud what you knew inside.

Unless you're a pro, for most people the real sport is in the training. Competition is there to compare yourself with others, exchange, to see what and how you can improve this or that and finally test your limits . Although it is a goal or part of it, it is also like an exam on how well you did your assignments.

A tree fell in front of you. It's not your fault in fact it could have been much worse. Take time to recover and come back strong and sound.
