Subject: Houston Area Running Question
Can anyone tell me where a track I could use might be located?  I will be staying in the Galleria area and probably will be going to the LTF in Sugarland to lift and swim...

I just need a  track for one day...

Thanks for the help....

you'll be close to Memorial Park, if a partially shaded, reasonably maintained, 2.9 mile loop is your cup of tea.  If you mean a conventional track, you can usually access any of the high school tracks fairly easily.

There's also a track at memorial park across from the 'zero' where the tennis center is.

There is also a decent track at Lamar High School, on Westheimer and Eastside (inside the loop, between Buffalo Speedway and Kirby, not too far from the Galleria).

The Houston Tri club runs there Wednesday's at 6pm, Houston Fit on Tuesday's, and I'm not sure what other groups are around.

The gate on Eastside will probably be locked, so if you are facing the track from Eastside, go to the right of the track, through the breezeway of the school (library will be on your left), turn left at the back of the breezeway and that will take you to the track - no locks that way.
