Brewhouse Tri

I was up at Pike Lake in Hermantown giving my little sister some tips for her first race at Granite Man next weekend when a woman came up to us and asked if we were doing the Brewhouse tri next month.  I am not, but I did two summers ago.  I liked the race except for the really rough road for the bike course.  The woman said something about a new bike route.

Does anyone know if the route has indeed changed?  The website makes it look like it's the same bike route as two years ago.  If it is the same route, does anyone know if the roads have been resurfaced?  We didn't see more than about 1/4 mile of the bike course, so I don't know.  I would like to know 'cause if the road was smoother than last time, I'd be interested in doing the race in the future.
