I personally don't belong to a club but a lot of the Maryland Bters do. I had also always trained by myself until this year. Now, I've been able to swim, bike, run and even trail run with fellow BTers.
If you watch the Maryland forum someone will suggest some type of workout (usually on the weekends) that will have plenty of takers. Or you could even suggest one yourself.
Good luck and welcome to our little corner of BT world. x2 (except for the trail running part ). I couldn't really settle on a tri club and I feel like I get as much out of the ad-hoc BT training session as I would on a team Plus we all support each other way more than any club would since we are in touch all the time online. If you are doing any of the Piranha Sports race, we've set up a "BT-Maryland" team so if you decide to stay "unaffiliated", you can sign up for those races with no obligation and then your points will still count towards a team |
