My (inexpert) advice:  Find a plan that you trust.  Follow it.

Wetsuit:  Go to a tri shop that you trust and try them on.  If you can't do that, do a lot of research about what fits your body type and size.

I got my wetsuit from Trisports.com, they have a good return policy and responsive customer service.

I'm also in the same boat as you; did my 1st olympic distance this month, 2nd is next month and 1st 1/2 IM is next summer

- Find a plan and follow it. There are several good ones available right here, though you need to be a gold or silver member for some of them.
- Log your training. You'd be amazed how many workouts you miss when you don''t. You may be amazed by how many you miss even when you do.
- Start figuring out your nutrition plan early. Nutrition really doesn't play a role in Olympic and shorter races. But when you're racing for 5+ hours, you need calories and you need to figure out how YOU can take them. Other people can give you advice, but what worked for them may not work for you.
- If this is your first triathlon, build slowly. Even better, do at least a sprint and an Olympic distance before your 1/2. There's plenty to worry about when tackling 70.3 miles without it also being your first triathlon experience.

Its hard to know how a suit will fit until you get in the water.

My advice? Rent. (seriously though, rent a few different brands and see which fits you best.) If you have questions about the different brands, feel free to shoot me a PM and I'd be happy to answer any of your questions.

Best of luck to you!
