Subject: My First Tri
Not only am I doing my first tri on Sunday, but this is also my first every post to a message board, so forgive me if I do something wrong. I am doing a sprint distance tri as part of a relay team. I'm the bike portion. I've been training for 3 months, but I am sooooo nervous, intimidated, sure I'll do something wrong, you name it. But, I found this site, and it's been great so far. I guess I just have to get thru Sunday, and then I'll calm down....

Subject: you'll be just fineeeeee.

relax.  for the bike part just make sure u put your helmet on before touching the bike in T1, and dismount before going into the T2 and only take your helmet off after placing it back into position.  although i have never witnessed a relay tri, things may be different.

also, make sure u can put your chain back on if it becomes de-railed.  i helped my mom do this before her first.  other than that, GOOD LUCK!!!!

we want a full RR come next week.

Thanks, Ron, you're very encouraging. At this point, we are just hoping to finish before all the volunteers have finished packing up and left, and not even before the 13 and 14 yr olds who are competing!! Is it bad to just be looking forward to the loaded baked potato at the end of the race?? That is if there are any left when we come dragging in!

Most of all have fun! Triathlons can be fun especially on a relay. Can't wait to hear your race report.
