Subject: Anyone ever buy diamonds online/ebay?

I have been looking for a pair of diamond earrings for my wife to give to her whenever we have our first child at the end of September.

I have looked at many different places like the retail stores like Zales, some local shops, and online (bluenile.com, ebay, etc).

Even though I would only buy from those who have lots of positive feedback, Ebay stores, and take Paypal, I am a little scared of buying from Ebay.

Has anyone had any experience with Ebay and other online places for diamonds?

Any other recommended online stores/sellers?

Blue Nile did a bang up job. Got an engagement ring, diamond earrings and a number of other trinkets from them. They overnighted everything, certs for the diamonds, & it appraised for much higher than I paid, so I'm happy.

My good friend buys all her diamonds at Blue Nile, and has never (in 5+ purchases) had any problems... every thing appraises at or above value, etc etc.
