Links to training programs, books, and articles on adventure racing. I find it difficult to find out about the races sometimes as you have to be very thorough on looking.

My advice: If the race requires canoeing, then you should take a canoing lesson prior to the event! When my friend and I did our one and only adventure race, we looked like Lucy and Ethel out on the river. We literally went in circles and went backwards down the river. (and just laughed the whole way, becuase it was just so embarassing). We had both canoed at church camp when we were preteens and thought, "How hard can it be?" Ha! We learned the hard way!

I sort of found that race by accident. By asking around. It was through some sort of hosteling organization, but I don't have a website that I can refer you to. If I find it, I'll send it to you!
