Subject: Guitar Hero rocks!
There is a new PS2 game out called "Guitar Hero" that comes with a guitar-like controller. I played the game this morning for an hour. Totally rocks.

Yes, you get to play his "Texas Flood" in Level 6 Face Melters, which I believe is the most difficult level.

would this help one to learn to play?  my son has a guitar sitting in his room, this may be a great "it wasn't on their list" gift.

I don't think it will help playing the real thing because the controller is very different from the real thing. There are 5 fret buttons instead of strings, a big strummer button and a whammy bar. However, if he likes guitar, he will probably enjoy this game.
