Subject: help me arrange IM training schedule around a sprint (pls)Background: I'm just starting week 15 of IM training (fink intermediate plan, third time around for IMWI) There's a sprint tri in my town - the ONLY tri in my town - and I want to support it. If falls on the Sunday of week 17. That week, my Saturday is supposed to be a 3.5 hr bike, Sunday is supposed to be a 1.25 hr run. (The next week, week 18, includes a olympic tri, which I'm not planning on doing - instead doing a normal weekend of training, 4ish hr bike, 1.25ish hr run) This is what I was thinking: Do the scheduled bike on the Sat right before the (sprint) tri (maybe 30ish minutes LESS than scheduled), then skip the run on Sunday and instead do the tri. Any advice, thoughts, suggestions? (I hope my explanation make sense...) |
