Subject: LBS in Charlotte with MTB focus?

Hi guys. I'm looking to do a few small upgrades to my old mountain bike. It seems the shops I frequent in Charlotte are more focused on road and only have a couple options when it comes to new MTB components. I'm also looking for knee pads and want to try before I buy. 

I know there are several shops I've never even been to. Any recommendations?
