Champion  10157    Alabama |  Subject: First Transgender Gubernatorial NomineePat and the MSM seem to care more about candidates who are first trans, first Muslim, first Asian, first Hispanic, first African-Hispanic, first homosexual black Asian, first Indian transvestite, first Somali-American ....than they care about electing the best, most qualified candidate. Read an article about the first transgender gubernatorial nominee winning the dem primary in VT. The article did not mention her (his?) experience or position on anything. It was if it doesn't even matter, just as long as they increase diversity aka 'anything but a white male'. |

I've never thought of GDP as measure of capitalism. It is a measure of the total value of goods and services a nation produces. It is a measure of productivity. Does capitalism encourage consumption? Absolutely. And it drives up the quality of life. |

I enjoy my toys and modern conveniences but would be happy living completely off the grid in the mountains in BF Egypt. I have a 1926 35 hp Dodge Brother's Coupe and I have a 2009 430 hp Corvette. How did we go from 35 hp to 430 hp? Competition! The drive to build a better product than your competition! Competition with Airbus is what Boeing invested billions designing and building the new carbon-fiber 787 Dreamliners that are 25% more fuel efficient. Competition is why we have a choice between Microsoft and Apple with each constantly trying to get a bigger share of the market by making better products. |
