Hey Guys...

Here's a quick request.... Could we put on the wish list the ability to compare our actual intake to the FDA's Recommended amounts?

For example, I would like to know (percentage) how much Calcium I am intaking with respect to the FDA recs.... Now I know that, as an athlete, I need to be consuming a considerable amount MORE than that level. But it would give a benchmark to keep track of.

That would be a cool concept that would probably be implemented if we can purchase some additional food databases in 2007.

One think you would have to make sure of, is that for the foods you log, that they HAVE calcium reported as a number or zero - if it's N/A as you view the label or the advanced nutrient details, and you log it, then the graphs will be under-reporting your calcium level.

You can also create custom foods with the reported calcium level as %DV so that you know all foods you log include the nutrient values you are looking for so it will be more accurate.

hey guys,

is there a way, once I've added a custom food, to go back in and add more details?  For example, I added a power bar, and entered calories, but I forgot to add carbs, prot, etc. Do I have to delete and then go back and enter it all at once?

Thanks

Sure, when you hit 'nutrition' in your log to go to the nutrition logger, navigate to the bottom right box where it says 'Edit custom meals'

'Custom food' is also linked inside the nutrition logger when you are searching for food to log, you can hit that link to go to the custom food editor their too.
