If you are not sure if you want to jump into the sport with both feet, I have a bike for you. Great bike for beginners.

I had it during my internship and only put about 500 miles on it. I did 4 sprints before splurging on a nice Cannodale to run Ironman Wisconsin, 2006.

2004 Fuji Ace 56 cm frame. (Yellow and Black)
Shimano Sora Components - Triple Crank
Aerostrike Aerobars
Cateye Cyclecomputer ($25 model - not sure, i am at work)
Shimano SPD cleats ($75 new - see previous explanation)
Wheels - nothing special, whatever came with it.

Clean and maintained well.

I live in Madison, WI and am willing to ship or meet you 1/2 way (within reason). Pictures available upon request.

$250 (read: really good deal) plus shipping if applicable.

It should fit you great. I am 5'10" and it worked well for me to get started. My mountain bike was much slower and made lots of noise on the road.

I am going to try to get some pictures posted for you. If it doesn't work let me know and I can email them to you. I live in Madison, WI.

thanks,
keith

Some more info for those interested:

A few more details:

I looked up the computer it is a Cateye Enduro 8 (Everything but cadence) with 439 total miles on the bike. The wheels are Fuji DRX-2000 (I don't know what that means really). The shifters are in a Sora Flight Deck configuration with rapid fire shifting. Right now I have the clip pedals on the bike but would be happy to include the Shimano SPD cleats (the model number is not written on them, sorry).

My local bike shop will ship the bike anywhere in the country for $85.
