I plan on doing several outside rides in the winter and I am challenging the BT Nation. I would like to see a lot of time spent on bikes during the bitter cold. Of course, there is not much herer in WI right now. But it will be there for us in January.

I am open to suggestions for the Challenge. I feel there should be divisions and different challenge levels , based on temperature (, Above 32 - Nice Ride, sub 32 F - Freezing, sub 17 - really cold, SUB ZERO), time and distance. This will be a nice addition to the Crappy Weather Challenge to make us ALL diversify our training during Jan and Feb! Winner gets a BIG ATTA BOY/GIRL!!!!

Can we add something for the wind chill factor? I've got "Nice Ride" except for the icy wind screaming out of the gorge this time of year.  Oh, and double points if it was raining when you started your ride.

Yes, there can be added points for wind and rain and snow for each.

This is why I start this now, so ideas can flow and we can set it up!!

There is already a crummy weather challenge going on that has a point system set up for bad weather workouts.  Maybe you can just join up in that one.

I am already in that one, just want something that includes the miles ridden. The crummy weather challenge only gives points for minutes, nothing for miles! Consider this an adjunct, another reason to go outside and not just for the run. The crummy weather challenge seems to have been more of a running event. And if no one else wants to do this, I plan on keeping track of my own Tour!
