So I think I finally found a bike, but would like an opinion on price

I think it is too much on the basis that I was offered a brand new 2007 Caliente for $2700.00 from a QR dealer, about 90 days ago. I found out it would not fit me right so I passed on that excellent deal ($1300 off).

so what's the thought on it, 2k? or less? I like the bike, but...if you guys are getting the 06 and 07's that cheap...then i'm certainly not paying 2400...maybe i'll see what they can do on a P2C or a P2SL pro

$2400 is kind of an in between price for me. I would not want to spend that much on an Aluminum bike, espeicially an 05. If you are willing to pay that much already, I feel it is worth saving an extra $600 bucks to get the PC2 07 for $3000 and go for carbon. When I bought my carbon caliente my deciding factor was not if I wanted a carbon bike now, but in 1-2 years or so. It is a lot more expensive to buy an aluminum bike now (2400) and 2 years later buy a carbon (+-3200) later....=$5600. You can save more money and cut out the frequent upgrades and just get the better bike sooner and save money. Whatever you buy, make sure you are happy with it. Just my 2 cents.
