  • 1500 meters
  • 01m 26s / 100 meters
Comments:

That was by far my strongest swim. It was the first race in a wetsuit and it made a difference. My goal was to be out of the water in 23-25 min and I was a good bit faster than that. Very happy with this swim!
Transition 1
  • 03m 57s
Comments:

T1 has always been slow. adding the wetsuit did not help things. Oh...and that LONG run from the water to the transition took at least 1:30. I guess with that in mind, the T1 time was not too bad.
Bike
  • 1h 12m 28s

  • 20.70 mile/hr
Comments:

Pretty good course. I was happy with the improvement over my time from the MIdeast Regionals.
Transition 2
  • 01m 43s
Comments:

Once again. A pretty good transition. The elastic laces really help. It could have been faster but I took off running and realized I still had my riding glove on my left hand. I turned around to take it off.
Run
  • 44m 54s
  • 6.2 miles
  • 07m 14s  min/mile
Comments:

After riding hard I was thinking my run would suffer. I began keeping track of my splits and the first mile was 6:50. I must have been caught up in the Race excitement, I backed off some. I tried to maintain 7:15-7:30 pace. Considering the course, I was very happy with the run.
Post race
Warm down:

a beer with new friends.

Event comments:

My goal was to finish the OLY distance under 2:30. I did that and go in to winter feeling goot about my first 4 races

Those are not the "Official" times but the times I pulled from my watch. they should be pretty close. My goal was to get in under 2:30 and I did, reaching goals is always a good thing. Stand by for Rio and Satchmo72 posting thier results as soon as the "Official" times are posted. I beilieve they both reached their goals. IT was a great day!
