Click to enlarge  These r great goggles.  I have used them for awhile now.  They have an excellant seal and a large area of vision.  I have tried many goggles - especially in a pinch.  Trust me, any goggle that has a foam gasket is not watertight and quickly deteriorates.  I just bought a new pair as i lost my old ones and after an initial band and diopter adjustment, i got in the pool and have not had ANY leaking since i first used them.

Plus these goggles come with a durable plastic box - i tend to kill goggles without a box for protection.

They cost me $7.99 at Dicks Sporting.   site is http://www.tyr.com/

Another good google are the speedo rubber fit googles. they are air tight and they also come with an anti fog coating on the lense. The foam fit googles are a waste of money and they will have you buying a new pair every few weeks. These gogles cost about $14.99 they are well worth it.

My sister-in-law gave me an aqua sphere mask. I have been swimming with goggles up to now. I tried the mask the other day and it's pretty nifty. Do you put your goggles/mask on before or after you put your swim cap on? Just curious.

For the Aqua Sphere, I have noticed that you can get a bit of a leak from the top corners, particularly when you push off the wall in the pool.

To avoid this, I put my swim cap on first, then the goggles, but then pull the front lip of the cap down over the top ridge of the goggles. Looks dorky, but keeps the water out.

WF,
An admission for you...I don't push off the wall in the pool! I never got that whole under the water turn around thing going for me, so maybe I won't have a leak :-O ?!

I have to concur with ron's endorsement of the tyr racetech goggles. I bought a pair when I went out of town without my goggles - and i love the tyr product. no leaks, easy fit, and that neat box to put them in when you are done. ;-)
