Awesome dog! I've had weimaraners for about 9 years. If I can teach her to ride a bike, I think I'll have her race with me this year. :-)

Thanks!  That is my boy, Reuben.  He's awesome, but is the most anxious dog I have ever owned.  Also the most affectionate.  He's a bit of a rescue....he was half the weight he was supposed to be at 4 months old due to a major infestation of worms.

I know a bunch of triathletes who own weims.  It's almost like the dog of choice for us!

I found one of mine when I was working as a paramedic. We went on an emergency call in a crack house, and there he was tied to the front porch....all 40 pounds of him. I went back when I got off my shift and dog-napped him and took him to a vet hospital where he stayed for several weeks. He's now 75 pounds and seemingly healthy almost 4 years later. He is a wonderful, very protective dog. My female, I've had nearly 10 years. She thinks she owns the place at this point, but she's a terrific dog too.

I think that's a breed trait. 

Do your weims like to get under the covers at night?  Reuben will bring me sweaters when the temperature drops.  He runs headlong into walls too.  Kind of an idiot savant.
