Lake Marion Triathlon - August 16th

Member 9 |  Subject: Lake Marion Triathlon - August 16thMinneman was my first tri and to nobody's surprise, I'm addicted. Already registered for Brewhouse Sprint and looking for my 3rd and final sprint tri of the season. Considering St Paul Sprint(read all race reports and recent threads) but also considering the Lake Marion Triathlon below. http://www.mnstorm.org/triathlon/index.asp Has anyone ever done this race before or live in the area? I couldn't find any race reports and was curious about the swim/bike/run course, how well organized, etc. Appreciate everyone's help - this site's been my best resource as I've really fallen into this sport headfirst. Veteran 190 Lakeville, Minnesota | Subject: RE: Lake Marion Triathlon - August 16th I live in Lakeville and participated in the Lake Marion Tri last year. It was well organized and a good course. The lake is a little low this year and a little weedy but nothing terrible. The bike course is two 7 mile loops around the lake and has a couple of good hills in the last quarter of each loop. The run is through a residential neighborhood. Sign up and I'm sure you'll have fun. |
