Subject: Las Colinas Bike Ride- 7-26-09, 8:00-8:30 AM
Hey everyone! I am running a 10K at 6:30 AM in Las Colinas on 7-26-09 ( http://www.heelsandhills.com/Events/YearRound_Events/event_20090726... - Check it out! No race T-shirt, and no medals, but a dollar a K!) and afterwards I want to ride my bike around the area.

I should be done with the race by 7:30 AM, so I would be ready to ride by 8:00-8:30 AM.

Is ANYONE interested in riding with me? If you are, please post here and we can work on some details. I know a couple of routes out there. I would hope to go around 40 miles myself, but if you wanted to not go that far I'm sure I could get you back to your car after 20-25 miles. No problem.

Let me know if you are interested and I'll put together a plan (location/time/route).

Well, I only have to ride 2 hours. So with a 17-18 mph average... 34-40 miles? My run will be from 6:30-7:30 AM. Once that's done I'm going to get my bike together and go ride. I'll just wing it on the route, because I know the roads well enough that I can do that.

Here is where I'll be starting from at roughly 8:00 AM:

Location
Sam Houston Park at the NW corner of Valley View and 635/George Bush Turnpike service road.

From George Bush Turnpike:
Exit Valley View
Turn right, heading South/West approx .5 mile
Turn right at stop light (Valley View/635 Svc Rd)
Park is immediately on the right

From Hwy 635 East:
Exit Riverside
Turn left at stop light (Valley View)
Turn left at stop light (635 Svc Rd)
Park is immediately on the right

From Hwy 635 West:
Exit at Luna Rd
Continue West on 635 service road through two stop lights
Park is immediately on the right

Still planning on riding, assuming it doesn't rain. If it rains, I won't be riding.
