Hey everyone. So today I just learned about the Project one website that trek is offering. You can customize your bike from head to toe!

I'm in the market for a new tri bike and have known from the start that I'm going with a Trek Equinox TTX. I've been trying to decide what color...I have the option of getting an amazing discount on Trek bikes because a family friend of mine consistently buys expensive bikes from Landis and gets discounts because of where he works (like cost plus 20% off...about a grand or more off). I think it is awesome that I will be able to choose what carbon frame I want, the color, the components, the wheels, even the bar tape! Now I don't have to worry about choosing around the color....I like that bright green one tho!

The only downside is that I really wanted to order the bike in the next three weeks and have it for my first olympic distance, but the website doesn't launch for the TTX series untill October 15th I think it may be definitely worth the wait tho and will allow me to save some more money for possibly a better carbon or components. I'm super stoke about this and was even playing around with the madone series on the website...it was so much fun.

Has anybody else heard of project one or have any of made a custome bike yet with the madone?

Good job Trek.

I'm with you - I  love playing on the site. It's a lot like the custom Nikes but with a much bigger price  tag (cool about your discount thing).  Hope you share pics when you finally get the bike

I have built up a few Madone's on the ProjectOne site. I think it's a great idea. I'm not ready to order one yet though.

A friend of mine is interning at Trek in Wisconsin this summer and just got her P1 Madone. It's pretty spectacular. You'll love yours, it'll be worth the wait.
