Condition of Central Park

I rode this morning. They have it pretty much all cleaned up. The roads are clear except for some small twigs and stuff. There are huge piles of limbs off the road that looked like they were just ripped off plus some trees that were cut down. I imagine it was a mess. There were road crews lining up around 7 this morning getting ready to chop up the fallen branches.

It was a disaster zone yesterday, totally unbikeable but luckily I was running. There were trees over the road and the whole north part of the loop was closed along with sections of the bridle path. They were working really hard to clean it up, glad to hear it's looking better now.

Yep, it was pretty impressive how quickly the large trees across the northern loop and bridlepath got cleared as it looked really bad on Wednesday morning when I was fortunately running rather than attempting to cycle. Great effort by the Parks. Kind of sad to see so many trees badly damaged though.
