I've been reading the forums for a while but I figured I'd finally register.

My name is Josh and I'm from the western Chicago suburbs.  I've been active with running & biking the past few years and decided to finally give a triathlon a try last year.  I completed the Naperville Sprint Tri & The Chicago SuperSprint in 2009.

This year I've signed up for the Naperville Sprint Tri again along with the Chicago International/Olympic distance triathlon.  So far this site has been a great help in preparing me to take on these events!

Hey Josh,

Mind if I ask what burb you're from?  I'm from Wheaton, and I'd love to have someone to train with, compare stats with, and meet up with at the naperville race!  It will be my first one.  Good luck with training!

Hello Josh and Kevin,

I am also new to this forum. It truely fascinating hearing how people got into endurance sports and seeing how far people can push themselves to achieve their goals, and this site does a great job uniting those people.  Anywho, I am currently living in Naperville and it is a pleasure to know others in that area are staying active.

I'm in Naperville.  If anyone wants to get together to swim, bike or run, I'm game!

I usually cycle with the Naperville Bike Club and swim at Centennial Beach.  $3 after 5pm is hard to beat!

Josh,

What are your cycling rides like, both with the club and without?  I do a lot of my riding up near Hoffman Estates but am looking for some good routes in the Dupage area that are in the 50+mile range.  I would love to take part in a cycling group that covers long distances at a high tempo(20+mph).  Any info would be much appreciated.

I am anxious to get in an OWS at centennial to get used to the conditions (at least the conditions without 2000 people in the water ).  I typically bike or run in the mornings and do my swims at night, so I would love to join you some time for a swim.  The rest of this week is shot unfortunately, and I swim mondays and wednesdays at a local pool, but any other day besides that I would love to join you.  What days do you typically swim?
