Subject: BMO Half Marathon (today)

I did the BMO Half Marathon today and had an awesome time and hope that any other BT'ers that attended the race also enjoyed the day.

The weather was great and I stuck with the 1:45 pace bunny the whole way (she was amazing) and finished in 1:44:17, my quickest HM for "many years" and more than 20 mins off the last time I did the run in 2005.

I just have to do this after 3hrs in the saddle in Oliver next month !!!!....I wish I had a pace bunny there too!

Congrats Steve & Dr. Leah!!

What an amazing day for a 1/2 & full mara..

I volunteered - bike escort on the full course. Rode with female lead for 20k.. then 2nd place female through to the end.. finished the day policing on the Burrard St Bridge.. and escorting in the 2nd to last and final runners through to the finish!

Great experience and chance to log some miles on the bike! (and work on the base tan!)

The BMO half-marathon was an amazing experience for me! It was my first ever running race, and after just a few months of training I was able to easily beat my 2h30 min goal time. It has inspired me to sign up for more races, including the Scotiabank half-marathon and start training for the Cultus Lake half-tri sprint in September.

3 months ago I would have laughed at the idea of me running and now I have joined this site in the desire to participate in my first half-tri. Life is funny like that
