How come I see a lot of people who's avatar pics are clear and mine looks like I'm 3 miles away?  It's kind of a close-up shot on my monitor.  How can I resize it, or what are the size restrictions for an avatar pic?!

I think the limitations are 120 x 120 pixels as far as the dimensional size goes. Not sure on the actual file size, but it may have been 100 kb.

I use a photo program to crop a picture, then resizing it by trial and error until I get something that fit's the limitations.

No, I mean on my profile pic.  Before it was so small you couldn't even see that it was me running.  Now I cropped it and played with the margins and it's much bigger.
