Subject: Running Every Day in July

I've heard about other people doing this challenge so I thought I'd give it a "tri" (haha, I'm so funny!).  I'm going to run every day during the month of July, even if its just a mile.  So far, I'm two days in and two-fer-two.  Yea me!

Since it doesn't look like I'll be able to get another tri in this season (silly life getting in the way of racing), I figure I'll try all the workout things I've wanted to try but haven't since I've been focusing on tri training.  So, for July, that's a whole lotta running.

Wish me luck!

Good Luck, should do great things for your running when you accomplish this goal.

Great goal! You could also join the Peach or Battle of the Sexes challenges, if you want some additional 'motivation.'

July Peaches:
"For the month of JULY, it's all about Peach boxes on your calendar. If you have not noticed, when you post a workout, the box for the day turns peach. The goal is 100% Peach for 31 days."

Battle of the Sexes:
" Team lines have been drawn as boys versus girls.... Each participant can pick up to 4 goals, minimum of 1 goal to participate, 4 maximum."

I'm a week in and so far, have run a little bit every day.  I was really nervous about injury - I have terrible hip joint issues - but so far so good!  Of course, I haven't run very far or very long on any day, but my plan is to increase milage and distance slowly over the course of the month.

Good luck to you!

I accomplished my first "run every day in a month" just last month. Like you, I decided to challenge myself after running on both the 1st and 2nd of the month. I hadn't run three days in a row since probably high school.

The toughest day for me to get out was on the 10th (which is coming up), so stick with it! You have a great plan with lower mileage - consider really slowing the pace down as well (that helped me).

Again, good luck and keep it up!!

Is it possible I'm faster already?  I did an 8K last night (Bastille Day, of course!) and did really well for me!  I was certainly more confident, if nothing else.
