Subject: RE: New Bike Help - 2012 Cervelo P2 Ultegra vs 2016 Orbea Ordu m20 I have a 2016 Ordu M30, and really like the bike. It's nothing special, but it's solid, reliable, and fast enough. Pretty light, too; lighter than some more expensive bikes I've had the chance to compare it with. If we were talking similar vintage, I'd probably lean to the Cervelo P2 simply for the resale and cache, but I don't think it's functionally any better. But 4 years difference? I'd take the 4-year-newer Orbea every time.

I agree that fit matters but, let's not confuse these with "Superbikes" that have proprietary, integrated front ends and limited fit windows. Both come with a conventional fork/steerer-tube and stem, which generally gives you a very large window of pad stack/reach adjustment via different length and angle of angled stems, and number of spacers below the stem.Even more pad stack can be achieved with pad pedestaling. The fit envelop of similar sized frames of these two models are a little different around the edges, but they largely overlap. If your fit is near the center of the envelop of one, it's not going to be far from the center of the other. In other words, there are going to be few folks for which one is a "good fit" and the other is a "poor fit." Edited by gary p 2019-03-12 1:30 PM
