No not at all, I haven't been in so long, living in nyc sometimes hard to get out. It used to be set up w/races when I was younger, olympic training center everything, now I feel like triathlon would be a fun way to not just do one thing. Sometimes I miss the training schedule though.

Used to be a competitive nordic skier as well.  Last race was a long time ago (Eastern High School Championships) at Mt. Van Hoevenberg after which I never put the skis back on.   A lot of fond memories training and racing up there.  Back then would spend somewhere around 4+ weeks a year in LP; at the Olympic Training Center doing a 2 week training camps during the summer, training camps during my winter break from high school, races, etc.

Haven't been doing it all that long and I'm anything but graceful ( once a guy stopped me and asked if I was all right - he thought I was having a seizure but I told him it was just my jerky form ) but I do try to get out as much as possible. Here in Central Pa, we have a lot of State Game Land trails, most of which are fairly mountainous. Usually have the trails to yourself around here. Be you running, skiing or biking - not too many locals get off their bar stools or waddle out of the local KFC.

You can tell from my BT nickname that I'm NOT an ex-cross country skier.  X-c ski racing is what got me started in endurance sports in 1976, and I can't imagine giving it up.
