Hi,
Im liking the looks of the Suunto T3 (black, claspe). Can you offer any pros or cons for the Garmin?
Cheers,
Will.
I've had my garmin for a week. The pros can be summed up in the list of capabilities - it's fairly extensive. I like being able to have 3 sports to choose from and each can be set up to show different types of things. For example - in running mode, I can have 8 panels of info - from total time, to ave pace, to time of day, to HR avg. Biking will switch to MPH and such. It also does elevation, although I am unsure of it's accuracy - others might be able to speak to that better than I. You can also get a cadence thingy.
Cons: well, aside from being cool, I find the software somewhat...limited. I wish I could program the unit from the s/w. You know, set up the displays, set my HR Zones, etc. The software gives good graphs and lays out the info well, but you can't do too much with it. It is also large. Don't misunderstand - it's not heavy, or cumbersome, or anything like that. It is just large. I suspect it weighs less than many metal watches... But it's bigger. |
