This would be a good bike for a beginner looking for a budget price tri bike. This bike was ridden by a pro triathlete and is about 10 years old (I think). Components are mostly older Ultegra with a piece or two of Dura Ace. It was repainted a rather bland shade of gray and isn't the prettiest thing but it works, shifts and brakes fine but might need a tune up and possibly a new chain. 650 wheels, Syntace bars. It has older Look pedals. Asking $250 plus shipping. If you are within an hour or two of Philadelphia (within the Baltimore, NYC, Harrisburg triangle) I will deliver it or meet somewhere between to avoid having to box it up and ship it. I've been riding a heavy mountain bike with stubbly wheels...obviously I've been riding slowly! This is the type of thing I'm looking for, as long as I know I can ride it for a few years until I can justify buying something new.

I'm 5'10...will 53 cm be big enough?

Thanks

53cm would be too small for you. My Elite would fit you but that's priced a little higher.

Yes...I think the Elite would be too much bike for me at this point. But thanks for replying...I'll keep looking.

Hi there. Lots of questions! I'm 5'8" and fit okay on some 54 cm bikes, don't know if I've ever been on a 53. How tall was the person riding it? I hear that QRs tend to be longer in the top tube and I'm longer in my legs, so it might work, I'm not sure. Does the bike have tri geometry, or is it from before that existed? Is there any carbon fiber on it? What are the details on the components? Has it been crashed? Any rust or other damage? Any idea how much it weighs?

Thanks!

Carrie
