How quick does this thing sell out traditionally? Looking to sign up for this run. Anyone run the new course?

A friend and I are both thinking of running this, and he was telling me that it typically takes a while to sell out.

Looking at last year, it took until March 20th until they announced that it was sold out.

I plan on registering early for the discount though!

Hope to see you there!

Hi Trevor,Registration will open to the public on September 25, 2012. We are revamping our website and registration system as well as making some improvements to offer a better on and off course experience. As suggested, we would recommend that you register as early as possible to secure a spot and get the early discount.

It was a great new course this year I thought the seawall would never end. Great scenery and i think it will sell out quicker this year once the word spreads around the world.

Great to hear a good review for it!!

I would imagine running along the seawall would be awesome!

4 weeks before my HIM it is not going to be an A race though, just go to enjoy it :D

Hi Trevor,

The course is amazing and ends right in the middle of Downtown Vancouver. They have planned both the start and end to be close to the train station so there is no need to hop on a shuttle back to the start. That being said, the train in the morning was VERY busy. Make sure you have plenty of time to get to the start if you're staying Downtown. Apparently, a free transit pass will be included in 2013 so that should reduce the line to purchase tickets.

My only complaint about last year was there was not much going on in Stanley Park. Lots of music and cheering on the rest of the course but Stanely Park was so quiet. In all the emails I've been receiving I think they are working on this for 2013.

Ok. So 57 days from now its on!!!

not sure where to stay. My sis lives in Maple Ridge. So I'll stay there on Friday night , and Sunday with her and her family.

But trying to pick a hotel for Sat night. I know there are tons of them DT, but I assume I should grab one closer to the start than the finish. as I'll jump on the train back to her house sometime after the race.

Thoughts? Suggestions?
