Swim Facility near Windsor

Im not sure of areas surrounding WIndsor. There is a YMCA in Ellington. 7 or 8 lanes. Not bad but could be better.
It can be tough to get a lane due to young kids and aqua walkers.

Some of my friends swim at the YMCA in Granby, not too far from Windsor. The other spot that comes to mind is the Cornerstone Pool in West Hartford.

I swim at the Y in Ellington. 8 lanes in the mornings for lap swimming, although sometimes you might share. Weekends are tough.

There is also a Healthtrax in Enfield, short drive from Windsor. I have not been there, but run by frequently.

I swim in Ellington also - I think Granby Y is probably closer. Ellington closes down lanes for swim team, lessons, water zumba, etc - so if you go there, call ahead and find out if any activities that will restrict openings. I suspect that Granby may do the same thing, but I've never been there.

What about nearby college - UHart is just south of Windsor I think - they may have hours?

I think the outdoor pool in south windsor is there. They have 50 meter lap lanes. http://recreation.southwindsor.org/220/Veterans-Memorial-Park I haven't gone yet, but I want to.
