The libs in the media have jumped the shark. Trump joked about being president for life and the media’s collective head exploded. They said he has a tendency to praise tyrants like Xi, Jung Il and Putin. Evidently the US should only insult foreign leaders. After all, America government is the best and we need to look down our nose at any government other than democracy.

The United States has always stood for the spread of democracy, freedom, and human rights throughout the world. This no longer seems to be the case.

Lead by example by not poking a finger in the eye of other world leaders every chance you get. Kinda hard to talk with Xi or Putin if you constantly bash them and trash their country every chance you get.

The idea that we are gonna cram democracy down everone’s throat has failed....as we learned in Iraq.

Well, N. Korea and S. Korea are talking......I don't know how you could not give President Trump credit for that.

I agree that the media has lost their collective minds over President Trump.  It's fun to watch.

Just out of curiosity, what makes you believe he's not for these things?  Don't give me examples of things he's said, what has he actually done (or not done)?

I'll ask you the same thing, what has he done or said that would make you believe he is interested in promoting democracy.

Rog: I agree with you, we learned in Iraq that we cannot shove our form of government down someone else's throat. But it was that lefty Ronald Regan who viewed the USA as that "shining city on a hill", a place for other countries to look up to and (hopefully) emulate.

I don't believe he's ever tried to promote democracy for the rest of the world. He seems to be focused on restoring democracy at home. At least that is the illusion he created to fuel his candidacy.
I don't think we can blame Reagan for US policy of forcing democracy upon the world. We've been doing that forever. The people we're pushing it on has just changed over the years. Nazis, fascists, communists, muslims and now it seems, democrats. According to the Donald that is.

Islamic terrorism = Ongoing threat

Jeez, I'm not so sure that the Democrats belong in that group, a little of stretch even for Cheeto Jesus.

Which party tried running a socialist (who almost won)?
Which party has heavily funded and organized militants dressed in black to intimidate through fear and force those they disagree with?
which party oppresses free speech at every opportunity it can?
which party boycotts any opposing viewpoint?
which party wants to disarm citizens?

"We ask that the government undertake the obligation above all of providing citizens with adequate opportunity for employment and earning a living. The activities of the individual must not be allowed to clash with the interests of the community, but must take place within its confines and be for the good of all. Therefore, we demand: … an end to the power of the financial interests. We demand profit sharing in big business. We demand a broad extension of care for the aged. We demand … the greatest possible consideration of small business in the purchases of national, state, and municipal governments. In order to make possible to every capable and industrious [citizen] the attainment of higher education and thus the achievement of a post of leadership, the government must provide an all-around enlargement of our entire system of public education … We demand the education at government expense of gifted children of poor parents … The government must undertake the improvement of public health – by protecting mother and child, by prohibiting child labor … by the greatest possible support for all clubs concerned with the physical education of youth. We combat the … materialistic spirit within and without us, and are convinced that a permanent recovery of our people can only proceed from within on the foundation of the common good before the individual good."

You imply that there's no need to fight for Democracy in America, yet the party you champion is doing everything it can to undermine the very foundation which we've been built upon.  The 1st Amendment is under attack by the Democratic Party.  The 2nd Amendment is under attack by the Democratic Party.  The 4th Amendment is under attack by the Democratic Party. The 15th Amendment is under attack by the Democratic Party.  Our free and fair elections are under attack by the Democratic Party.
But yeah, we should ignore all that and go bomb some other countries and try to overthrow their governments in stead.  /eyeroll

The 2nd, ok. The 1st and 4th, if you say so. But the 15th? You sure about that? The first is the oppression of any speech that isn't progressive in nature.  Ban all conservative speakers from campus, ban conservatives from facebook, shame and mock anyone who dares say anything in support of Trump.  I know many of you don't see it, but just as an experiment try to post something positive about Trump on FB and let me know how that works out for you.
People are not allowed to speak or say anything outside of the liberal doctrine is the mantra of the left.  Most of the attacks are under the guise of political correctness.  You can't say that because it's "offensive".

If my vote is being devalued through a party's attempt to allow illegal (non-citizen) aliens to vote then my vote is under attack.
Most Democrats Think Illegal Immigrants Should Vote

Illegal immigrants get OK to vote in Maryland city's elections

NY Democrats seek citizen rights for illegal immigrants

She's a pretty conservative lady overall, but at times I have to scratch my head.  She got upset at me several years ago when she found out that not everyone in my company makes the same salary.  She couldn't comprehend it and insisted that I pay everyone the same salary.  That was the last time I mentioned employee salaries to her.  hah

"The right of citizens of the United States to vote shall not be denied or abridged by the United States or by any State on account of race, color, or previous condition of servitude." Which race are the democrats try to suppress the vote of?

Banning all conservative speakers from campus, banning conservatives from facebook, or shaming and mocking anyone who dares say anything in support of Trump literally has absolutely nothing to do with the 1A.

And there's nothing in the Constitution does it prohibit non-citizens from voting. There's a federal law that does for federal elections, but nothing stating that some random city in Maryland can't allow illegals from voting in local elections. It's up to each state to decide who they want voting in their elections. States rights for the win!

ETA: "Voting by Aliens" federal law "(a) It shall be unlawful for any alien to vote in any election held solely or in part for the purpose of electing a candidate for the office of President, Vice President, Presidential elector, Member of the Senate, Member of the House of Representatives, Delegate from the District of Columbia, or Resident Commissioner, unless...(2) aliens are authorized to vote for such other purpose under a State constitution or statute or a local ordinance"
