I bent the nose of the stock Specialized seat on my Transition yesterday.  Probably will want to upgrade it anyway.  What is everyone out there sitting on?  Why did you choose it?

I have a Selle SMP Evolution on my tri bike.  It's not a tri specific saddle, but what I did, and highly recommend you do, is to try out as many as possible before making a choice.

My LBS would lend me a saddle and let me ride it for a couple of weeks.  Over a couple of months I tried out 4 or 5 and chose what was most comfortable based on a few hours sitting on it.

What works for one person won't neccesarily work for another.

I would have to agree that finding a saddle is definitely depending on your own tush.....however I recently swapped over to a Fizik Arione Tri 2 and I like it. I used to have a Profile Design Tri Stryke and my junk would fall asleep, which is obviously not good. I haven't had it happen since I swapped to the Arione though, which has a lot of positive feedback on here. Again, best to try one out if possible and see what suits your butt first before buying.

I've been perched on the end of my ISM Adamo Racing saddle since they were first released and don't plan on changing (unless they come out with an AdamoRace 2.0

Why I chose it? Because I had tried a few traditional saddles in an effort to alleviate the constant numbness I was experiencing after even moderate-distance rides - within 30 minutes I was numb and it would last over 24hrs. When I went searching for a solution I stumbled upon preliminary testing of the ISM seats and I was able to talk Dave Bunce, marketing director of Blackwell Research, into giving me a saddle (at wholesale) to test and to provide feedback to the company as well as to the internet forums I frequented. I was told I received the first red leather model off the line and it has been a sweet ride ever since.

^^^ agree

Find a shop that will let you try them for awhile to see if they work for you. Some let you buy and exchange others have a lending library of saddles then order you one.

I have the Stella SMP evolution too...no more squashing is their motto..works similar to Adamo but has a nose with very large cut out.

x2

I went through four or five saddles before I stumbled on the Adamo race saddle.  I now own several of them for my various bikes.  I even use an adamo race model on my cyclocross bike.  I love them and won't be switching.
