Started to feel the nerves so I thought I would post everything I have done today to get ready...
-took the day off from work
-completly inspected my bike and as a consequence had to run it to the bike shop for a quick repair to the back hub that I could not do myself (REI was awesome to fit me in!)
-Visually inspected my wetsuit for tears, rips and to make sure the seams were strong
-cleaned my goggles, and spare swimcaps.
-packed my shoes, wetsuit, towel, helmet etc...into my transition bag
-Trimmed my finger and toe nails.
-shaved my legs
-reviewed my nutrition and packed the gels bars I need + extra
-Laid out all my clothes for tomorrow morning
-Made sure I had all of my registration information and directions etc...

That is a lot of work for one day...Just hope I have not left anything off my checklist! Good luck to all my fellow first timers out there

My only advice. Go over your list one more time then have some dinner, pop in a movie (or grab a good book) and call it a night early.

Have a fantastic race tomorrow!!

Good luck! I also have my first tri tomorrow, and I feel relatively unprepared in comparison.

I thought I had lost my favorite goggles until I found them in the dryer with my training suit. They seem to be ok after the tumble dry /shrug.

Had to run off to a running store to get a racing belt, they only had pink ones so I had to try the bike store they had belts for racers with asthma, I don't have asthma but oh well.

I expected to find a description of the rules in the packet But the packet had a bunch of sign up sheets for other races, a hammer gel (never tried these seems gross), and a swimming cap. Hopefully they will go over some of the rules with my 'Novice' group so no one gets DQd.

In response to OP and last post, Race Belt is a good idea, but if not, grab some safety pins, just in case. I also like to put my helmet number and bike number on. I lay everything on the floor, run through my transitions and make sure everything is there and everything is in order. Also, do you use some glide lube or butter for chaffing? Socks, bike shoes and running shoes. Grab a bag of post race clothes too.

was supposed to be getting a race belt from a friend tonight but it looks like she wont make it  safety pins it will be I guess. Dont get my race packet until tomorrow as they did not have pre-race packet pick up. Already laid everything out, twice (I like to keep busy when nervous) Never used the lube for anything other than my neck, wrists, underarms and ankles w/the wetsuit so not going to try anything new tomorrow.

Have pre race clothes packed too, a rain set and a not raining set.
