Subject: place to rent a bike for race?
i have 2 friends comming from Israel for a 70.3 race in miami in November.  they don't necessarily want to lug their bikes around and would prefer to just rent some tt bikes for the race.  would this be possible to do anywhere?  online?

not sure of any places.

Where is the race located (might help to find some local rental places)?  I know in my area there is at least one bike shop that rents Trek Madone road bikes, I know its not a TT/Tri bike but I think it will def depend on the area the race is held. Might have a bit harder time finding a place that will rent TT bikes tho...

try competitive cyclist demo program. i think you can get a nice bike for a week for about $300 including shipping.

No time trail bike but some very nice rides rented here http://www.competitivecyclist.com/road-bikes/demo-bike. They do carry tt bikes and a phone call might be able to arrange a rental. They will even ship it to you and pay for return shipping.

Post on the Florida forum to find an LBS. My local shop rents out bikes for road races and tris (and, obviously, just cruising around town). Nice bikes, pretty cheap ($30 for the day, I think?).
