Subject: Wetsuit for IN tris full or sleeveless?
First yr MOP-BOP newb. Decided to invest in entry-level wetsuit to help my BOP swims.  Sleeveless seems more popular at area tris, but see many full suits too.  Any advice on full vs john style appreciated.

A friend of mine just did Muncie in a full suit. He stated that sometimes he overheats in it.

So with that in mind I just purchased the sleeveless xterra that is on sale.

My 1/2 cent worth

I have had several and have two now.  I have a full and a sleeveless.  I am a fan of the sleeveless right now.  Did a cold lake michigan swim and would have llike to have had the sleeves but after a while i was ok.  I would go sleeveless... I think

Did you already purchase the suit? There is currently a group purchase happening, and the prices on the group purchase are better than their "promo" deal. If you have not yet purchased it, let me know. If you have, and have not recieved it yet, your purchase may be able to go towards the purchase, and it'll cost you less.

I read your post a few hours after I hit purchase.

No biggie. Once you get your suit, if you want to pop on over to the lake here in Noblesville to try it out, let me know. I have a few different groups that meet here each week for open water swimming in Morse.

That would be cool, but I will not be doing any swimming for the next couple of months after Thursday. Thursday @ 9am I go in for surgery to repair a torn Labrum in my right shoulder. I am really not looking forward to it.  Looks like I will not be back in the pool until late in the year or the start of next year.

Looks like I will be spending a lot of time on my trainer starting next week.

We have a group coming up on Tuesday morning to swim "pre-IM Lou", if you want some open water time.
