Subject: Feeling funny/nutrition

Hey all,

I just started working out and getting into shape and I just started my "eating right" routine. But as I am doing this, I feel funny from time to time. Sometimes I eat alot (it feels like) and I feel funny, then ill eat too litte and feel tired, and I have been having a hard time getting out of bed lately. I get abut 8hrs a night but its hard to get up. I try to keep mt food intake balanced but sometimes I stray away.

Any suggestions please let me know.

What in the world does feeling funny mean?  Kind of hard to diagnose that.

Being tired when you're getting plenty of sleep is usually a sign of not eating enough.  Probably the #1 mistake most dieters do.

F.Y.I.  DO NOT DIET.  Rethink the way you eat instead.  If you eat healthy and clean; chances are you'd have to force yourself to eat too much.

are you logging your calories?  Do you count your calories burned in a day (BMR - you can google a calculator) and your exercise?

If you are counting calories, what is your ideal deficiency/day?

Also, are you drinking water, getting protein, eating fruits/veggies?

There's a LOT to healthy eating - not just 'eating less'

Yeah, I have to agree... we need to know what "funny" means exactly.

Do you have headaches? Do you feel dizzy and light headed? etc.

The more I workout the more I sleep. The extra sleep might be from the extra working out you are doing.

Sorry about the word funny, haha. I dono how to explain it. Just not myself I guess. But no, I dont get headaches or anything drastically physical. Just the sleeping thing. I believe just eating more but good will make me feel better.I am 22yo, 280lbs and 6'1". Im thinking a 2000-2100 call diet will be good for me to loose weight and feel like it eat enough. I only workout about 30min a day, 6 days a week.Let me know if you can help anywhere elseThanks sooo much

At 22yo you shouldn't have too many health issues but I would recommend that you get you Blood Pressure tested. A high BP can lead to fatigue and tiredness. Also it can lead to symptems such as light-headedness and possibly nausea. I chech-up from your GP is probably in order.

2000-2100 might be low for you with the workouts, depending on how active you are the rest of the day.  How are you distributing your calories throughout the day?  And are you getting a good balance of protein/fat/carbs?  I ask because I get "funny" too if I eat a whole load of carbs and not much else (like waffles).

Have you had your sugar levels tested?

You need to see your doctor.
