Wondering if anyone is running in this event?!

I'm prepping for the Historic Half in mid February.. as part of my HIM build for the season! Doing the 15K on Sunday to change up my weekend training runs

Hi,
I just signed up for the 5 k Chilly Chase yesterday. I'm still on the rebound from a nasty case of plantar fasciitis so haven't really been doing a lot of running lately. I do like this event as it's a nice way to kickstart the new year.

Change of plans.. I'm now going to do the First Half in February.. instead of the Historic Half

Any specific reason for the change??

Also, a question to the BC BTers - Has anyone run any of the Peninsula Runners Trail Series runs?

The Peninsula Runners Trail series is Great!  Very low key, not a huge crowd, all different levels.  Come out tomorrow at 9am for the Campbell Valley Stomp.  You can choose the 5 or 10k.  I haven't done this one yet, but I heard it was hilly.  The resolution run was good, the Houston Trail 10k is challenging and so is the Aldergrove Mud Run.  You can register race morning and I think it's pretty cheap, I think it's $15 race day.  Peninsula Runners is great if you ever want to join a running group.  Lots of experience there.  Disclaimer:  I don't work there.  Hopefully we'll see you tomorrow.
Jim.

How did you find out about my Meteorologist connection?!
A few kind words.. and I managed to avoid running in torrential rains during H2H this past November!
