Removing a 25 and 2 QB at half time was crazy brilliant. What a game!

It wasn't so much removing the kid who was 25-2 as it was throwing a kid, a true freshman who had never started a game, into the National Championship game down by almost 2 touchdowns.  He made some big mistakes like kids do.....but he must have ice water in his veins because he just kept lining up and getting it done.  A college football performance for the ages right there.

Saban saw that GA was reading Jalen Hurts like a book and shutting him down. They obviously had studied him so much they knew exactly what he was gonna do....when he was gonna pass and when he was gonna run.

Agree totally about the Hawaiian kid. I heard this morning that he throws left handed but is right handed. When he was a kid his dad tied his right hand behind his back so he could only throw a football with his left hand. I'm not sure I understand the advantage of throwing left handed....except that your blindside would be on the right instead of on the left?

I went to bed at 11:00 expecting Alabama to lose. Sounds like the last 20 mins of this game was pretty exciting, I'm gonna have to watch a replay.

I think it's one of those things like blocking a pass and such.  Almost everyone throws right handed so your entire technique form childhood is learning to block from that side.  It's perhaps minor overall, but it is a change for most defenders.  Kind of like catching punts from left footed punters.  The ball spins backwards and messes people up a little.

As for the game, I was rooting against Bama but mostly because I'm an underdog guy when I don't have a dog in the hunt.  Bama has an exceptional team and even though they didn't win their division everybody knew they were a solid team.  Their QB was not impressive at all and the other games I'd watched he seemed average at best with throwing, but he did have good legs.

I'll tell you what though, when that freshman kid came in for Bama in the second half I sat there thinking.  I really like this kid.  He was an absolute spark that Bama needed and even with his rookie mistakes he was absolutely amazing.  He's what the Bama offense has been missing all season.
All I can say is holy cow Bama is going to be good next year if he stays at the helm.  I'm not a fan at all of Bama, but I really really like Tua Tagovailoa.
