I got to watch my own arthroscopic ankle surgery.  Had an epidural and did not feel a thing.  One of the coolest things I have ever done

I got to watch several this week! I am a meeting planner and plan mostly medical meetings where Dr's come to learn new junk and get continuing medical education credit. Well, I was on site at one of our meetings this week and part of their program is they do live cases where they broadcast strait from the OR into the meeting. I got to see some stents put in and things of that nature. It was pretty cool to watch!

I would puke.  I've seen all kinds of bloody, gross, nasty things.  Especially working on farms in my youth.  But when it comes to cutting on a human, I kind of freak.

My best friend growing up and I would spend vacations from school at the hospital where her dad is an Associate Professor of Surgery. We would scrub in, and watch surgeries. It was awesome.

Now, I don't like watching surgery on tv anymore (I used to), for some reason it doesn't bother me in person. I can't wait to do that again!
