Hey fellow Leprechaun's!

Started the month off with a 56mile bike today.   No idea yet how I'm going to survive the Oceanside Half next month as this ride wore me out!   Hopefully 4 more solid weeks of training will help.

Top of the mornin to ya!

Hey all, looking to stick to the plan, it helped last month and this month looks pretty busy for me, I worked last night and tonight so doesn't look like a good start for me but I am good at making up for my ZZZZZZZ time.

Any one good at making the team roster?  I usually mess them up.

Yup...I'll put together a team html table in the morning.   Do we want to use the image from the first post of thread?  If not, post 'em up and we can decide on one.   Maybe we can find a good tri-themed Lep for the month.

Wahoo! I'm ready for another month of challenge. My dial-up is really slow, so I'm not a great inspirer, but you can count on me to meet or exceed my goals.

I wouldn't use a table with the opening picture, but I already made one for my logs with just shamrocks behind it, so you all can use it if you like.

Hi Guys,

Ready for another go at it.  I will go on the spreadsheet and fill in my goals.  Sorry I didn't post them earlier, but flew in from Wisconsin last night into sleet and snow here in NC.  Isn't that a little backwards?  Anyway,  looking forward to working with a great group.  We can do it.

Opened the week with a 7 mile run. My knees felt puffy and heavy when I was done. I kept a decent pace, and the wind was very light, which was nice.

Started a new core-strength routine this morning, and stretched really well. Guess I'll have to stretch again.

3300m swim at lunch today.  Moved this workout from Sunday to today as I can't get swimming on the weekends.

Hi team! I started my month with a 3 mile walk today. The plan says run, but I am having some shin pain, so I walked.

I am glad to be a part of this month's challenge. Last month's really helped me stay on track, so i have high hopes for this month as well.

3000 yd swim today. I'm having a hard time sticking to the plan, but it is because I always want to go longer. The only cure I see for this is to sign up for a HIM instead of just an OLY.

Everyone having a good start to the week?

Had a good stretch/core session this morning, but I put off my run too long. It has snowed a bunch! Took a 3-mile run on the tready instead of a 4-mile run outside. Swapped for Friday's run.

The biker for our team sprint backed out today. Her sister had a heart attack, and biker wants to go see her at Easter. I think I'll bike, and invite another swimmer. It's not until April, so there is time.

Little worried guys...I think that I might be getting shin splints.  I was doing so good with that up until this point.  I am going to take it a little slower, but don't worry, I'll get my mileage in.  Compared to most others, my mileage is "a walk in the park" to some.  My goal is 30 miles this month so even if I did only two miles every other day, I could make it.  Going to get a swim in tomorrow night.  I have a friend who is coaching me on my stroke technique.  She's a WSI trainer, so I should be in good hands.

I cut back my planned running mileage for the month also for the same potential reason.  I had not scheduled a big jump in miles for last month, but had scheduled it for 3 weeks weeks, so in reality I had jumped from 15 mpw to 25mpw.  Going to try for more frequency and less distance per run this month and see how it goes.

I have also been having trouble with my shins/calves. I walked my entire run Monday, and biked very little yesterday, and skipped my 5 mile run today in favor of some more rest since I was still pretty sore. I plan on walk/jog tomorrow, the same Friday, and the long run for Saturday has been pushed back to Sunday. I'll get the miles in, it'll just be a little different format.

Okay, team, I finished my run mileage for the week and logged it in the spreadsheet. I still have a bike and a swim left.

I can play team captain if you want me to make sure the spreadsheet is up to date.

And now, a question: what do you do on your rest weeks with regards to core work? Do you take a break from core work, or just go ahead and do it? I only do 12-15 minutes M,W,F.

I'm fine with Shoeless being team captain.

I went to the pool last night with my swim coach (and friend Sarah).  I'm lucky to have her.  Fortunately, she said that my free style technique wasn't terrible and that we could easily fix some minor issurs. Apparently, I really cup my hands therefore making me look "really funny" while swimming.  We're working on that.  But so far, so good.  I feel encourage by my training session last night.

Sorry I am a little late to the show, but had a good mile swim today.  I am also planning on a 20-30 mile bike ride tomorrow to take advantage of the somewhat warm weather here in upstate NY.  (Yes we get excited about anything over 45 or 50 degrees this time of year.)

I had my fastest 100 ever at the pool this morning! WAHOO! 1:19! For me that is pretty fast. My next one was 1:25, and I'm happy with that, too!

This week our biker backed out for the team sprint in April. Thought we would get Pat to do the swim, then I could do the bike. However, Pat had a skiing accident yesterday. I am now relinquished to doing the swim again, and we need to find a biker.

Well just finished two nights shifts, they were brutal, I think I could consider them as training.  I should be able to get some real time in next week, kind of like a recovery week last week sort of.

I'm not sure where that one came from, nor if I have another one in me, but it sure was fun to see that on the clock! I was under the influence of caffeine.

I'm jealous of your hills.
