Hey everyone, my name is William and I am a third year TRI. Have been doing mostly sprints and a couple of Olympic distance. I come from a running back ground-3:05 for my first marathon-17:50 5k etc. Not being arogant, just giving a little info. I started cycling about 4 years ago for getting burnt out on running, some members of my running club were ex-TRI guys and they talked me into my firts sprint three years ago. I can remeber finishing my first TRI--it had to be the awesomest feeling that I have ever felt--and I am hooked!
I am registered for the Munice Endurathon (1/2 IM) and am a little nervous, although I know I can finish I would like to finish in a good time.
Well thats enough about me if anyone has any beginning 1/2IM info let me know would be greatly appreciated.

That is a big step, to go into the 1/2 iron distance. The swim is not to bad, but 90km on the bike was just scary. I did my first Half Iron last year in Benton Harbor, MI. It was an even better feeling than my first tri. Good luck with the training and I hope to see you at a full Iron distance in a few years.

Wow! you have quite the experience under your belt.... i'm not new to tris... just recovering from a huge injury... so lingering around this site has been really good for me. Congrats on all your effort- and sorry i can't offer any advice for this endurathon- sounds like it'd be a mental gig... mind over matter.

once again, lots of luck!
