EARTH DAY CELEBRATION

Planting a tree - actually a couple hundred - at a re-forestation project.

It's nice to see someone cares.
I was originally going to ride my bike in to work wearing a fig leaf, but sickness has prevented me from exercising. Plant a tree for me if you can.

Well, the weather sucked, but about 100 or so hardcore, tree-hugging, hippie enviro-freaks like myself braved the cold and rain and planted trees all morning. It was fun.

is it corny to say earth day is every day at our house? we had a pretty pathetic day on the actual earth day this year though. my husband biked to work not realizing it was earth day (he bikes often), but then we drove to ikea to buy stuff. while we were there, e planted a seed in a pot to bring home with her. other than that, it was just an average day.
