I work outdoors and my work spot is constantly moving.  I don't mind it since if I started running during my lunch break I'd always have a change in scenery.

I have some good running underwear but I'd hate to pay $10each for 3-5pairs just to destroy them at work.  Also running underwear just doesn't work so well for outdoor work.

I have used FOTL and Hanes boxer briefs.  The FOTL becomes too loose and I rub the top part of my legs.  The Hanes are tight and provide good "support" but they crawl up my legs causing my legs to rub.

I'm thinking of just doing a 10minute out and 10minute in run but need to change into running shorts.  I would just take some spare running underwear and change but I don't really have a place to just get butt naked and not end up on the pervy list.

I wear running shorts with liners so I don't need underwear.  I always find there's SOMEWHERE I can change if I have to without exposing myself and getting arrested.

I found some stuff at a discount store (TJ Maxx) called Layer 8.  I have some shirts and some underwear.  The shorts are tight fitting, but not tight.  They are light, they wick and they were 4.99.... TJ Maxx is sort of catch as catch can though.....

Chandy thanks.

Brian - It's hard for me to find some privacy.  We are often on the side of heavily traveled public roadways or near neighborhoods.  And when you have a pick up truck and two large bucket trucks with flashing lights right next to you people just stare at you.

I actually had a person threaten to call the cops on me and my company to have me fired because I pissed next to my truck.  I opened my door and no one could see anything but it was obvious what I was doing.

Jockey has a cheap series called Elance. They have some synthetic briefs that don't chafe me.

Why don't you just wear running shorts with a liner as underwear?
I can't imagine running with cotton underwear on for long. How uncomfortable.

I work outdoors often digging ditches or standing on hot roadways in hot Georgia humidity all day (in blue jeans and non-vented leather boots).  Cotton undies obsorb the tons of sweat I sweat everyday.  Synthetic undwear or whatever you want to call it just gets horrible to work in.  And if I got the shorts with liners then it'd get 10x worse.

I might check out walmart and see what they have too.  My runs will only be for 20-30minutes because I want to spend the last 30minutes eating or sleeping.

Hello

Get some UA hot weather gear compression shorts.  Underwear & running shorts.  I would recommend getting black.

For $40 a pop I'd wear them over my blue jeans.

Today I spent probably a total of 5hours inside a manhole.  Often, deep manholes are fairly cool, even in the the summer.  Not this manhole, I think the river Styx flows through this one.
