Subject: Training for a 50 mile run (with some walking- ha) So I am thinking about doing a 50 miler in 2011. Before I fully commit though I need to get an idea on what the training involves.
First off, I am realistic about the fact that I will be walking a good portion of it. I use to walk/run in training ands races so I am fine with it.
My plan for 2010 is to do an Ironman end of September (will be 2nd one ). Then I hope to do the Rocky Raccoon 50 miler in Feb 2011.
If you read my logs and view my races it is all up to date with about 4 years logged here on BT.
So, how does one train for it? Are there training plans out there? How many months are required? I have been injury prone with running in the past, so does someone like me only train up to 26.2 miles or ???
