Revolution3 Half Ironman : Official Thread

Kind of quite...who else is doing this race? Never been to Portland and trying to get some feedback on the course.  The profiles on the race website looks like it will defintely be challenging.

I just found out the venue has been changed from downtown riverfront park with a hilly bike course, to Blue Lake and a very flat bike and run course.  I was looking forward to a big river swim in the Willamette.  Now we make a counter clockwise loop of blue lake.

The packet mentions there is a 0.4 mile run from the lake to T1, with an option to leave a pair or shoes at the lake, drop off wetsuit into the bag and Rev3 will bring the wetsuit and back to the Transition area.

Anyone going to change to run at the lake instead of T1?

With 4/10s of a mile before T1 I plan to pull off my wetsuit once getting out of the water and putting on some old running shoes to get me to the bike rack.  Running that far in my wetsuit, especially if it is a warm day, just won't feel too great.
