Member 9 Grimes, Iowa |  Subject: Wanted to say hi...My name is Chris Zepp and I am looking to enter my first tri on Saturday in Pella, Ia. I was hoping to do a sprint distance first, but this one is an Olympic distance. Also, I will be using my wetsuit for the first time, so I am hoping it does not throw me off. I started training with guys at work. The team started with about 7 or 8 of us and now we are down to 3 of us still training. It takes time and committment to hang with this. I am sure you are already aware of that. Anyhow...wanted to introduce myself. |

| Member 9 Grimes, Iowa | Subject: RE: Wanted to say hi... Well - just finished the first triathlon. Didn't go so hot. The waves and wind were pretty rough. I asked some of the more experienced triathletes and they said they had never swam in water so rough, except the ocean! Great - that I got to experience that! I actually had to be fished out. They let me swim that last 1/4 mile in and finish the tri, but I can't say I completed my first yet. I have a sprint one next. Maybe I should have done that first. |
