Pricing on 2013 Cervelo P2?

I think that is fair.

Just saw one at my shop in GR, MI for 2600.

They might take (my people) 10% off of it ... so your deal is good.

Just ask them to eat the tax and you will buy it right now.

P2 is legit, so light and fast.

Or you can do this. Ask if they have any end of summer sales coming up, and will it include P2? Tell them if the price goes lower in 3 mo at their shop, will they give you a store credit for the rest?

They are a single-location shop, and usually don't have multiple bikes of the same model; it would difficult for them to offer a low price guarantee since there isn't another P2 for sale.

Sounds good to me. I'm buying a P2 this week and the shops by me doesn't discount on bikes, at least not popular bikes. During the included fitting the shop tried to fit me on a 54, but after making the adjustment they are building up a 56 for me. I'm glad because I was looking for a used 54, now I know that size isn't the best.

First tri bike so I wanted to make sure I got the right one, plus the shop is very tri friendly and I trust their fit. I hope that cervelo doesn't do the $1,000 off this winter or I'll be bummed...

zeusrock1, did you decide to buy the P2? Has Cervelo done a $1,000 discount in the past? That's a ridiculous discount.

I'm still on the fence on whether to buy now, or wait a few months and hope for a lower price.

I took home my new 2013 P2 on Friday. Two rides so far and it's so much faster, smoother than my 2005 Specialized road bike (Triple w/ Sora).

I debated a lot on the price, cheaper alternative, should I go used, road/tri... but got tired of looking and eventually the money would have be spent on other things. The bike shop was great and spent a lot of time with my fit. Also good to know that cervelo hold their value pretty well and having a warranty on new bike is nice. No regrets.

I think last January Cervelo had a promo, google 'share the ride' but who knows if they are having it again. If they are, maybe I'll spring for new road bike :-) Good luck!

Was the fitting at "PEDAL"? I am hoping to check out their GURU fitting later this year. I bought my SuperSix there...excellent service!

Yes, the fitting was at Pedal actually. Very nice guys. I bought my first bike there last fall, a SuperSix 105. I wish I had worked with a more experienced salesperson at that time though, because I later realized my road bike is one size too big.
